In this final rule DOE proposes to adopt amended energy conservation standards with respect to portable air conditioners. DOE has determined that the amended energy conservation standards for these products would result in significant conservation of energy, and are technologically feasible and economically justified. These proposed standards, if adopted, would apply to all products listed in Table I-1, and manufactured in, or imported into the United States five years after the date of publication of a Final Rule in the Federal Register.
