Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) will conduct column experiments by injecting fluids into columns packed with sediment and monitoring the chemical composition of the injectate and effluent. The objectives of the experiments are to evaluate the in-situ formation of precipitates to sequester dissolved contaminants, (i.e., in-situ precipitation of AgCl for removal of dissolved iodine in groundwater).
