This Research and Development (R&D) study will evaluate enhanced adsorption of silver, zinc, and cerium ions by humate coated sediments. Previous experiments demonstrated that humate sorbs strongly onto Savannah River Site (SRS) sediments under acidic conditions. The purpose of the proposed experiments is to extend this research to determine the effects of humate sorbed to sediments at higher pH values on sorption of metals.
