SRNL will determine through literature search and laboratory experimentation the flowsheet parameters necessary to safely and effectively dissolve, process, and neutralize used nuclear fuel (UNF) or target assemblies flow sheet development work applicable to H-Canyon or another spent nuclear material process. The flowsheet will include the number of fuel bundles that can safely be charged to the dissolver without exceeding the Lower Flammability Limit (LFL) for components of concern (hydrogen and/or ammonia).
