Localized, incipient invasion of hydrilla has been detected at the Savannah River Laboratory PAR Lab boat dock near SRS Building 737-G. The hydrilla is an invasive species and should be treated immediately to prevent further spread. A licensed contractor, qualified in the application of aquatic herbicides, will be utilized for application of herbicide to an approximately 18-acre cove of PAR Pond that encompasses the SREL PAR Lab Boat Dock area. Pesticide usage will be reported to the SRS pesticide program for reporting and inclusion in the SRS pesticide usage database as required.
