Hanford Vapor Abatement Experiment: Immobilizing Catalyst onto Supports
CX(s) Applied: B3.6
Date: 02/04/2016
Location(s): South Carolina
Offices(s): Savannah River Operations Office

This activity is for the immobilization of titanium dioxide on catalyst supports (e.g. HEPA filters, quartz wool). This process will involve immersing the support in a slurry composed of the catalyst in solvents (e.g. water, ethanol, methanol, acetone, isopropanol), draining the slurry mixture, and then drying the support. All work will be performed in a chemical hood.
