NREL Site Operations Facility Maintenance Group proposes to repair a cracked irrigation line in a parking garage utility room (Water Entry Room) and add an electric heater to prevent future cracking caused by water freezing. The parking garage is located on the southern border of the STM Campus south of Denver West Parkway. The utility room where the main water line is located is in the southwestern corner of the garage on the first floor. The water line would be repaired by accessing the broken line through a concrete slab. A wet saw would be used to cut through the concrete floor to reach an existing irrigation line. Once the line is repaired, an electrical line would be created to make an outlet for a new heater in the same room.
