DOE is proposing to issue a funding opportunity announcement (FOA) titled the “Clean Energy Supply Chain and Manufacturing Competitiveness Analysis for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies.” The FOA will address manufacturing processes needed to support the scale-up of hydrogen and fuel cell production in the United States.
The purpose of this FOA is to fund projects in two topic areas:
Topic #1: Manufacturing competitiveness analysis focusing on global manufacturing capabilities with emphasis on fuel cells, electrolyzers, hydrogen storage tanks, and steam methane reforming; and
Topic #2: Supply chain development (analysis) that would include approaches to develop the needed supply chain to support domestic hydrogen and fuel cell manufacturing.
