The University of Wisconsin proposes to purchase a custom-designed cylindrical chamber for ion implantation and/or ion beam analysis, a sample stage, vacuum components for the PIXE detector, a turbopump for the new implantation chamber, a controlled motor for remote steering of the double slits, a turbopump for a high-current TORVIS source, a helium leak detector, and a portable high precision XRF analyzer.
