In this Proposed Rulemaking, DOE proposes to adopt energy conservation standards specified by ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013 including standards for three classes of small phase commercial air cooled air conditioners and heat pumps less than 65,000 Btu/h, three classes of water source heat pumps, and one class of commercial oil fired storage water heaters. Energy conservation standards proposed in ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013 for split system air cooled air conditioners less than 65,000 Btu/h are not being amended. These proposed standards, if adopted, would apply to all products listed in Table I.1 of the Notice of Proposed Rule, and manufactured in, or imported into, the United States two years after the effective date specified in ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013.
