Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer Products: Refrigerators, Furnaces and Television Sets including Environmental Assessment Regulatory Impact Analysis
This environmental assessment (EA) evaluates the environmental impacts resulting from new or amended energy-efficiency standards for refrigerators, refrigerator-freezers, freezers, small gas furnaces, and television sets as mandated by the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act of 1987 (NAECA, 1987).
The Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared an environmental assessment (EA), DOE/EA-0315, for transuranic (TRU) waste management activities at DOE's Savannah River Plant (SRP), including the construction and operation of a new TRU Waste Processing Facility. Based on analyses in the EA, DOE has determined that the proposed action is not a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment, within the meaning of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969. Therefore, the preparation of an environmental impact statement is not required and the Department is issuing this Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).
The Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) (DOE-EA-00336) for the proposed new Agreement for Peaceful Nuclear Cooperation Between the United States and Japan and an associated "subsequent arrangement" for the return of recovered plutonium from EURATOM to Japan.
