The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) issued a draft environmental assessment (EA) for the Mexichem Fluor, Inc. - Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Manufacturing Unit Project (DOE/EA-2236). The draft EA evaluates the potential environmental impacts of DOE’s proposed action to provide financial assistance to Mexichem Fluor, Inc. (Mexichem) for its proposed LiPF6 manufacturing unit adjacent to Mexichem’s existing facility in St. Gabriel, Iberville Parish, Louisiana.
