October 28, 2025The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has executed a lease agreement with General Matter (GeM) to lease approximately 100 acres of real property (Parcel A) at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP). Under the conditions of the lease, GeM will perform site preparation activities, including tree clearing on the parcel. Tree clearing activities will include tree removal on approximately 70 acres within the site. The Proposed Action is not anticipated to result in adverse impacts on federally threatened and endangered species. No federally listed species or designated critical habitats have been recorded within Parcel A nor were any federally listed species observed during surveys conducted in July or August of 2025. Additionally, no federally listed species have been historically documented within the PGDP Site under the Paducah environmental management programs.
