The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has executed a lease agreement with General Matter (GeM) to lease approximately 100 acres of real property (Parcel A) at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP). Under the conditions of the lease, GeM will perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), which will be conducted per the ASTM E1527-21 Standard for Phase I ESA. This assessment will comprise a records review and a non-intrusive on-site reconnaissance visit. If determined to be required by the Phase I ESA, GeM will then perform a Phase II ESA per ASTM E-1903-19, which may include the following media sampling activities: soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and soil vapor sampling.
