Energia Sierra Juarez U.S., LLC (ESJ US) has applied for authorization to transmit electric energy from the United States to Mexico pursuant to Section 202(e) of the Federal Power Act (FPA).

ESJ US is a power marketer with authorization to sell wholesale energy, capacity, and ancillary services at market-based rates and is subject to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's jurisdiction. ESJ US represents that their exports would not impair the sufficiency of electric supply, nor would they impede or tend to impede regional coordination of electric utility planning or operation. The existing international transmission facilities to be utilized by ESJ US have been previously authorized by Presidential Permits issued pursuant to Executive Order 10485, as amended, and are appropriate for open access transmission by third parties.
