The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) to design, synthesize, and manufacture polymer composites incorporating bacterial spores in an effort to promote biodegradation. The project would be completed over three Budget Periods (BPs) with a Go/No-Go Decision Point between each BP. This NEPA review is applicable to all three BPs.
