The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) to conduct a demonstration of a high-efficiency, high-speed, packaged Roof-Top Unit that uses a non-flammable low global warming potential and high efficiency refrigerant as a disruptive, sustainable and safe space cooling solution.  Project work would take place at UTRC’s dedicated laboratory facility in Hartford, Connecticut.  UTRC would demonstrate two system prototypes to advance the component technologies from a TRL of 4 to 6..
