The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to P4P Energy LLC (P4P) to develop, optimize, and prepare P4P’s technology for the solar carport market.
The proposed project activities involve computer modeling, engineering design, modifications of existing facilities, instrumentation, monitoring, deployment, and demonstration. The project would utilize P4P’s optimized solar carport solution to design, engineer, construct, and install a solar car parking structure. P4P would perform an evaluation of design criteria (including environmental and regulatory inputs) to establish baseline parameters for one or more fundamental solar carport designs based on system orientation.
