The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) to strengthen the Midwest Grow Solar Partnership to develop the relevant authority, coordination, and reach to scale the solar PV market across the Midwest.
The proposed project would provide technical assistance to municipal jurisdictions, utilities, developers, and policymakers to streamline approval processes, demonstrate scalable financing arrangements, and clarify the impacts of policies related to the installation of solar photovoltaic arrays on residential, commercial, and utility sites.
