The Department of Energy is proposing to provide funding to the state of Indiana to improve energy efficiency at the Wastewater Treatment facility for the town of Brownsburg. The proposed project would replace three 20 horsepower, return-activated sludge pump motors with high efficiency motors, replace existing fluorescent lighting with T5 LED fixtures, and replace illuminated exit signs with LED signs. The motors would be scrapped and recycled. The fluorescent bulbs, fixtures and ballasts would be recycled or disposed of, as allowed by local regulations.
