In this proposed rule, DOE proposes new energy conservation standards for general service lamps. DOE has determined that the energy conservation standards for these products would result in significant conservation of energy, and are technologically feasible and economically justified. These proposed standards, if adopted, would apply to all products listed in Table I.1 of the Proposed Rulemaking and manufactured in, or imported into, the United States on or after the date three years after the publication of any final rule for this rulemaking.
