The project team will use the additional funds to (1) evaluate different topologies suitable for connecting the proposed architecture to a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission network; (2) compare and down-select most suitable topology based on various performance matrices; and (3) complete a kW-scale design and test to evaluate HVDC interconnection.
