CX-019746: Dissolution of Th, U, Np, Pu, and Am Oxides and Metals, U and Al Alloys, and Packaging and Cladding Materials Such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Other Metal Alloys to Study Dissolution Behavior Including Dissolution Rates

Savannah River National Laboratory will perform laboratory experimentation to determine the flowsheet parameters necessary to safely and efficiently dissolve used nuclear fuels and other associated materials in the H-Canyon facility. Dissolution flowsheets may be developed for Th, U, Np, Pu, and Am oxides and metals, U and Al alloys, and packaging and cladding materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metal alloys.
