DOE will replace a failed concrete culvert located under Rail Track #1 approximately 1.7 miles southwest of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Failure of the culvert is causing subsidence of the rail bed and tracks. The scope of work will consist of (1) coordinating and acquiring any and all required permits and easements, (2) excavating, removal and backfilling of soil, (3) installation of a new storm drain piping, and (4) removal and replacement of a section of railroad track.
