Savannah River National Laboratory will perform laboratory experimentation to determine the flowsheet parameters necessary to safely and effectively dissolve and process uranium, plutonium, thorium metal, uranium-aluminum alloys, aluminum alloys, uranium alloys, and other materials associated with used nuclear fuel in H-Canyon, such as stainless steel and iron.
