Existing 831-S Effluent Retention Tank discharge pumps need to be replaced due to age and a long history of operational difficulties with pump/motor failures and prohibitive replacement cost. A new type of pump for the Effluent Retention Tank's two discharge pumps has been evaluated. Defense Waste Processing Facility Engineering recommends replacing the current pumps with Magnatex-style pumps. Perform discharge pumps replacement.
