CX-016337: Poudre Substation Security Maintenance and Pest Control

Western Area Power Administration proposes to perform several measures addressing both security and maintenance issues at the Poudre Substation located in Larimer County, Colorado.  A recent Western Area Power Administration inspection of the substation identified vegetation growing near the security fence, which was identified as both a fire hazard and physical security issue to the facility. In addition to the security issue, a group of rodents was identified to have moved into the perimeter just outside the substation fence line, CX: But within Western Area Power Administration property. The area the rodents are now occupying was historically graded and bermed to act as a secondary containment for the Spill Containment and Contingency Plan for the substation. The activities associated with the rodents presence include a severed irrigation sprinkler line and loss of landscaped lawn.
