A commercial furnace will sometimes be run with an argon atmosphere furnace in Lab C-118, and will be used for metallic sample fabrication. Building water may be used for cooling and disposed of via a clear water drain (CWD-DRN-C118-1). Argon will be emitted from the furnace during operation. Total maximum possible water and argon emissions over the course of a year of operation are estimated at 4,000 gallons, and 4,000 cubic feet, respectively.
