The automatic level control system for the 782-A Service/Fire Water Tank is no longer functional. Automatically controlling the tank level will reduce or eliminate labor involved with making manual adjustments to the flow control valve on the well water inlet line to the tank. It will also help eliminate the routine overflow of tank contents as a means to ensure correct water level, which wastes water and treatment chemicals. Restoring tank level automatic control will also require restoring automatic capability of the chemical addition to the inlet well water. This modification includes restoring the existing automatic capability of the chemical addition at Building 780-1A.
