Corrosion testing is routinely performed to support SRS facilities, including the tank farm, DWPF, H-Canyon, L-Basin, and K-area Complex, as well as for customers with the DOE complex. Corrosion testing involves metal and material samples exposed to solutions for long- and short-term periods (minutes to months). The test solutions cover the full range of pH from 0 to 14 and made with either multiple or single constituents in concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 12M.
