Emerald Ash Borer has come to the region including the Argonne site. The borer is a beetle in which the larval stage eats the cambial tissue of ash trees. In order to address the loss of trees on the campus, lost ash trees will be replaced on a one for one basis with a diverse selection of species representative of the site, county, and region.
