The Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) glass ceramic study scope is to support Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) by: 1) supporting corrosion testing to assess the durability of the glass and crystalline phases as well as the composite system, 2) preparing and characterizing glass ceramic samples to optimize the glass ceramic chemistry and support development of compositional elements, and 3) supporting characterization of the product from melter testing.
