Western Area Power Administration (Western) proposes to replace the 12.5 megavolt-ampere (MVA) KY1A Transformer at Western's Kimball, Nebraska, Substation with a 25 MVA transformer unit. Associated components that will also be replaced include the transformer's concrete foundation and steel lattice overhead structure, 115-kilovolt interrupter and disconnect switch, protective relays, control cables, panel boards, and meters.
