The Research Triangle Institute, in conjunction with North Carolina State University, proposes to conduct small-scale, in-lab, research and development of a High Operating Temperature Transfer and Storage System that utilizes concentrated solar power to heat a high-temperature heat transfer fluid, to be used for light metal production process equipment, such as a sintering furnace.
