E&CPT personnel routinely fabricate and characterize various glass, ceramic and composite materials in support of the Defense Waste Processing Facility and other on-site and off-site customers at the Aiken County Technology Laboratory (Building 999-1W). No radioactive materials are used. Fabrication and characterization methods to be used are described below along with the anticipated residue stream for each activity. Residues generated may result from materials originating at either Savannah River Site or ACTL.
