The United States Geological Survey (USGS) proposes to drill an approximate 1,000-foot deep geotechnical corehole (USGS 139) into the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer. The purpose of this geotechnical borehole is to obtain geologic, stratigraphic, and hydraulic data to characterize flow in the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer.
