As a result of lightning, the 2500 kilovolt-ampere 13.8 kilovolt/480 volts transformer that normally supplies power to the switchgear was damaged. The transformer repair/replacement is a lengthy process and cannot be completed in time to support Limiting Condition of Operation (LCO) required action and exit times. As a result, an alternative source of power has to be provided. This activity would install a portable generator to supply electrical power to the 241-74F switchgear bus. The temporary modification will be controlled per the requirements of Manual E7.
