Install Seventeen Monitoring Wells Around 715-D
CX(s) Applied: B3.1
Date: 07/18/2011
Location(s): Aiken, South Carolina
Office(s): Savannah River Operations Office

Perform the installation of groundwater monitoring wells at 17 locations using hollow stem augering at the old D-Area gas station (715-D). These wells will be used to support tracking and bounding of the contaminant plume. Existing wells DCB-63 along with recently added wells DUT-4&5 are still not providing enough information for the contaminant plume from the Savannah River Site Petroleum Tanks that were closed in 1984. The 17 new wells will monitor BTEX (Benzene, Toluene. Ethylbenzene, and Xylene) at the abandoned gas station (715-D).
