Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. The Birch Creek Tribal Council of Birch Creek, Alaska, proposes to purchase and install a new generator (approximately 35 kilowatts) for power generation. The generator would be located in an existing school building which is centrally located in the community. The purpose of the generator upgrade is to reduce the amount of diesel used to generate electricity in the community.
