Minnesota State Energy Office will give State Energy Program American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to Mary C. Schmitz who installed a 6 ton geothermal system with horizontal heat exchange piping. Total excavation was approximately 25-feet wide x 120-feet long x 6-feet deep. The loop field was installed along the west side of the house. The area surrounding the site is residential development consisting of large lots and cultivated farmland. There were no adverse effects to threatened and endangered species or critical habitat as these resources are not present at the project site.
