Texas Tech University (TTU) is proposing to use Department of Energy (DOE) funding to design and manufacture a 500 kilowatt wind turbine product that would accelerate the development and availability of midsize turbines for the commercial United States market. The proposed project would be completed using two budget periods. This evaluation is for Budget Period 1 only, dependent on a go/no-go policy; budget period 2 funding is subject to a reevaluation by DOE after budget period 1.
