Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. The Minnesota Chippewa Tribe (Leech Lake Tribe) proposes to hire a recycling project manager which will enhance the recycling program; educate members of the public on the importance of waste management; contract with developers, restaurants, businesses, etc., for waste removal needs and recycling components; contact regional recycling plants for pickup and deliveries of recycling materials; and purchase of equipment and materials to enhance and expand the existing solid waste/recycling program.
