Goochland County is proposing to use $179,500 in Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funding to improve the existing Centerville and Oilville park and ride lots along Interstate 64. Specifically, EECBG funding will be used to expand and pave two areas of Virginia Dept. of Transportation (VDOT) right-of-way that are and will be used as a park and ride lots. Permits are required and will be obtained from VDOT. Ground disturbance for paving will be 27,000 square feet at the Centerville park and ride lot and 16,000 square feet at the Oilville park and ride lot. All ground disturbance for the proposed project will occur on previously disturbed gravel lots and mowed, grassy areas.
