DOE issued an Order and entered into a Compromise Agreement with Lumiram Electric Corporation after finding Lumiram Electric had failed to certify that certain models of incandescent reflector lamps comply with the applicable energy conservation standards.  The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Lumiram Electric.

  • In the Matter of Lumiram Electric Corporation (incandescent reflector lamps), DOE Case Number: 2010-CE-1014, Adopting Order and Compromise Agreement.

Lumiram failed to submit certification of compliance reports for its products, and violated compliance regulations, and DOE here assesses a civil penalty of $150/day for each day the company sells a product in violation of applicable energy compliance standards. A baseline civil penalty was waived by the DOE on acocunt of financial hardship, but the company must still agree not to sell any noncompliant products.
