On March 26, 1999, at approximately 11:00 a.m., an employee of IDM Environmental Corporation (IDM) was injured by a flying piece of chainlink fence during the demolition of the K-33 Switchyard at East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). At the time of the accident, he and a coworker were egressing a work area at Building K-791 North in the K-33 Switchyard where they had been removing buss bars from air circuit breaker (ACB) cabinets.
