DOE SSL R&D Workshop
Nearly 300 attendees gathered in San Francisco, California, to participate in the 12th annual DOE SSL R&D Workshop, to share the latest on SSL advances and issues, dissect complex science and technology challenges, and examine new ways to improve manufacturing processes and foster U.S. competitiveness. Attendees also had an opportunity to provide input that will guide updates to the DOE SSL R&D Plan and DOE SSL funding solicitations.

DOE Connected Lighting Systems Meeting
More than 260 experts from the lighting, semiconductor, and IT industries gathered in Portland, Oregon, at DOE's inaugural Connected Lighting Systems Meeting, laying the groundwork for government/industry collaboration on the convergence of intelligent controllable light sources, communication networks, sensors, and data exchange in future lighting systems. An evening bus tour offered attendees a first-hand look at an LED connected lighting system installed in an office space in Portland’s 911 Federal Building.
DOE SSL Technology Development Workshop
More than 230 attendees participated in the tenth annual DOE Solid-State Lighting Technology Development Workshop in Portland, Oregon, an event where government and industry converge to examine trends and issues related to today’s SSL products, and look ahead to prepare for the next wave of innovation.

More than 260 attendees gathered in Raleigh, North Carolina, to participate in the 13th annual DOE SSL R&D Workshop, to share the latest on SSL advances, examine market forces that are shaping SSL technology, and explore how the technology is defining new market opportunities. Attendees also had an opportunity to provide input that will guide updates to the DOE SSL R&D Plan and DOE SSL funding solicitations.

DOE Connected Lighting Systems Workshop
More than 170 attendees joined DOE and top lighting and IoT experts to examine key barriers and issues impacting development of connected lighting systems. For those new to connected lighting, two pre-workshop introductory sessions were held on communications and cybersecurity fundamentals.
