A group of people.

On March 14, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) celebrated Women’s History Month with a Ride n’ Drive event in collaboration with one of DOE’s Employee Resource Groups, Professional Opportunities for Women at Energy Realized (POWER). POWER colleagues, and members of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity and other DOE offices, had the opportunity to test drive a hydrogen fuel cell car. They also heard from HFTO Director Dr. Sunita Satyapal about how hydrogen and fuel cell technologies work, and their potential to drive us into a clean and equitable energy future.
