Related to a serious fall injury at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
On July 10, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments’ Office of Enforcement issued Preliminary Notices of Violation (WEA-2024-03) to Whittaker Construction & Excavating, Inc. and subcontractor Harris Rebar Placing, LLC (WEA-2024-04), for violations of DOE’s 10 C.F.R. Part 851Worker Safety and Health Program requirements related to a serious fall injury at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. A Final Notice of Violation was subsequently issued to Harris Rebar Placing on October 29, 2025.
