Live Fire Near Miss Event at Los Alamos National Laboratory
On June 8, 2022, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2022-02) to Centerra-Los Alamos for violations of the Department of Energy’s worker safety and health program requirements (10 C.F.R. 851) associated with a live fire near miss event at Los Alamos National Laboratory. A Final Notice of Violation was subsequently issued to Centerra-Los Alamos on October 6, 2022.
