February 9, 1996Southwestern Power Administration has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) that addressed vegetation control at Southwestern's substations, radio stations, and pole yards. Based on the analysis developed in the EA, Southwestern has concluded, that with proper herbicide application restrictions, there will be no significant environmental impact to the air quality, surface water quality, ground water quality, wetlands, wildlife, aquatic life, threatened and endangered species, cultural resources, human health effects, transportation, or disposal of waste materials.Office of NEPA Policy and Compliance
